“It began in an art studio over a decade ago. Our dad had been painting for years, and in the corner of his studio was a graveyard of sorts where old artist palettes were put to rest. Some were heavy or awkward to hold, causing pain in the hand, thumb, and wrist; others were poorly made. The answer for him involved a free afternoon and a trip to the lumber yard. Within a few hours he was painting comfortably using his new palette that contained an ergonomic 3 point design.
We knew all artists could benefit from the only palette left standing in our dad's studio. New shapes were created and refined around the original three point design, with emphasis on comfort, quality and functionality. From there, two brothers that knew nothing about starting a business decided to quit their day jobs to make artist palettes... And we've grown from that humble spot.

New Wave u.go Anywhere Pochade Box is designed for plein air painting and has a number of unique features to enhance the painting experience when outdoors.
Each Pochade box is handcrafted and made with hand-sanded Baltic Birch. It is then finished with a New Wave proprietary wood finish for maximum durability. The finish is non-porous, dense, and resistant to water, as well as standard artist solvents and mediums. In addition, the finish is crack proof, chip proof, and non-yellowing. New Wave use stainless steel and aluminum accents, all of which is non-corrosive.

The Medium Panel Extender is made from durable steel with a smooth powder coating finish. The steel is cut and angled at exact dimensions, providing a superior hold when painting with panels.
The Panel Extender functions magnetically, just how the other components function on the u.go Anywhere Pochade Box. Please note that the Panel Extender should be removed from the Pochade Box before closing.

Tripod Mount: Anywhere™ Pochade Boxes are compatible with universal 1/4" tripod mounts.
Palette: A high density plastic palette is included. Oil paints can be removed with solvents, and dry acrylic paint peels off.
Paint Storage: Paint dabs can be stored on the palette when the lid is closed due to a recessed palette and recessed lid.
Product Storage: Smooth exterior free of protruding wood or metal components allows for quick and easy storage in any pack.
Surfaces: Maximum Recommended Painting Surface is 9" Vertical. Teeth on the stainless steel panel holders are capable of holding panels as thin as 1/16" and stretched canvas up to 3/4" thick. Product is ideal for 1/8" panels ensuring an ultralight setup.

The u.go Plein Air Stretched Canvas Holder allows you to comfortably hold substrates up to 7/8in thick or less, with your u.go Pochade Box (small, medium or large). Great for holding stretched canvas, cradled wood panels, watercolor blocks, and sketch books.
This set comes with a top and bottom holder made from durable steel with a smooth powder coating finish. The steel is cut and angled at exact dimensions, providing a superior hold when painting on thicker substrates. In addition, the slight angle of the top and bottom holder prevents the holders from coming in contact with your wet painting.
The Stretched Canvas Holder functions magnetically, just like your u.go Panel Holders and u.go Panel Extenders. Please note, the Stretched Canvas Holder will need to be removed from your u.go Pochade Box before closing.
