Come and join Jill Carver and paint in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales!
Each day we will venture out to a different location encompassing the stunning and varied landscape that the region has to offer, from dramatic limestone features, to historic villages, and bucolic riverside and pastoral scenes. Jill will guide you to becoming a more effective plein air painter, and each day will offer site-specific demos and suggestions to ease the process, and hopefully set you up for success. Jill will help you realize that some quick preparation work focusing on concept and shape will set a solid foundation for your study. There will be a day spent simplifying values and another day focusing on achieving a gorgeous variety of greens.
We will have a maximum of 16 students for the workshop.

We will be in the field each day, 9am-4pm. Demos, short discussions, one-on-one time, group critiques, and optional ‘paint-a-longs’ are all part of Jill’s teaching style. The emphasis will be on maximizing YOUR paint time, so that the first ‘pint’ at the end of the day feels well-earned!
Suitable for those with experience painting outdoors. You must be able to consolidate your equipment into a backpack and be able to walk with it. While we will not be hiking huge distances there will be some walking involved from where we park vehicles to the actual locations. Jill works in oil, but is open to folks using other mediums.

So, although you can pay via the website, they charge extra fees. Truth be told, there’s extra fees for all international payments, but if I call you and take payment over the phone, it’s only 3%. If you are in the UK, we should do a bank transfer as there are no back fees that way. If you book through the website, we will need to ask you for a 5% fee payment.
