At the heart of each Artefex panel lies a two-sided aluminum composite material (ACM), composed of two durable aluminum sheets that encase a resilient black polyethylene core. The robust construction is designed to provide exceptional stability and longevity, resisting warping and environmental fluctuations. With a substantial thickness of 3mm (solid core) these panels offer a sturdy foundation for your masterpieces.
Exquisite Surface Preparation
Artefex coat the surface of the Artefex Lead White Oil-Primed ACM Panel with Rublev Colours’ lead white Alkyd oil primer. This primer ensures a luminous, smooth application of oil paint, enhancing the depth and richness of your colours without the dreaded “sinking in”. The lead oil primer creates an ideal surface that grips the paint superbly, allowing for intricate detailing and effortless blending. Oiling out is one of the biggest complaints Artists have and the Artefex Oleopanel greatly helps with reducing the need to oil out.

The panels are available in two distinct textures: Smooth (411) for a flawless, slightly textured finish, and Eggshell (410) for a subtle, refined texture that has more valleys and ridges.
